PETITION TO THE PENNSYLVANIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY
Whereas: The right to keep and bear arms is a God-given, constitutionally protected right that “shall not be infringed”; and
Whereas: Law-abiding citizens in Pennsylvania should not be forced to beg government permission or pay fees in order to exercise their right to carry a firearm for self-defense; and
Whereas: Pennsylvania already allows law-abiding citizens to openly carry a firearm without a permit, and extending that right to concealed carry simply aligns state law with our foundational freedoms; and
Whereas: Twenty-nine other states—including Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky—have already passed Constitutional Carry laws, proving that this common-sense reform is not controversial, but mainstream; and
Whereas: Constitutional Carry would not eliminate the License to Carry Firearms (LTCF), but would make it optional, preserving reciprocity for those who travel out of state; and
Whereas: Radical gun-control politicians want to attack our Second Amendment rights under the guise of “mental health” or “common sense reform”—and the best defense is a strong, proactive offense; and
Whereas: Rep. Aaron Bernstine’s HB 454 would restore the right to carry, shift the momentum in Harrisburg, and force anti-gun lawmakers to go on defense;
Therefore: As a law-abiding gun owner and voter in Pennsylvania, I urge you to cosponsor, support, and vote YES on House Bill 454, the Constitutional Carry bill—whether as a standalone measure or as an amendment to other legislation.
Any vote against HB 454 is a vote against the Second Amendment and will be remembered in the next election.
