🚨 Stop Bloomberg’s Universal Gun Registration

Gun owners in Pennsylvania are now staring down one of the most dangerous threats to our Second Amendment rights in decades.

On Tuesday, September 30, Bloomberg’s so-called “universal background check” bill, HB1593, passed the Pennsylvania House by a narrow 104–99 vote. Despite overwhelming grassroots opposition, anti-gun lawmakers rammed this legislation through the chamber. It now heads to the Pennsylvania Senate, where the fight to stop it must begin immediately.

Do not be fooled by the branding. HB1593 is not about public safety — it is a universal gun registry. This bill would require nearly all private firearm transfers to be recorded by the government, building a permanent database of law-abiding gun owners and their firearms. And once the government knows who owns what, history tells us exactly what happens next: confiscation.

Criminals will ignore this law. They already obtain firearms through theft, the black market, or straw purchases, none of which are stopped by background checks. The only people HB1593 targets are the law-abiding. And once a registry exists, it will be used as a tool for further restrictions, taxation, and eventual seizure of firearms, just as it has been in other countries and even in states like California and New York.

Now the fate of this bill rests with the State Senate. Every Senator in Harrisburg must hear loud and clear from the people they represent: Vote NO on HB1593. Gun owners are watching. Constituents are watching. And any lawmaker who betrays the Constitution will be held accountable at the ballot box.

The Pennsylvania Firearms Association is mobilizing thousands of gun owners statewide to shut down this registry bill in the Senate. But we cannot do it alone.
