Josh Shapiro wants a Democratic trifecta in Harrisburg. Democrats already hold the governor’s office and the House, and two more seats would tie the State Senate, with the Democrat Lt. Governor breaking the tie.

According to the Inquirer, at the start of this year Josh Shapiro stood up at the Pennsylvania Democrats’ endorsement convention and told his party exactly what he wants. A Democratic trifecta. The governor’s office, the House and the Senate, all in Democrat hands for the first time since 1993.
He’s spent the last ten months campaigning for it, and he’s putting real money behind it. Punchbowl News reports Shapiro has put $5.7 million into the state Democratic Party and a coordinated campaign with down-ballot candidates. That’s the kind of money gun owners are up against right now.
Here’s why that should scare every gun owner in Pennsylvania. Democrats already hold the governor’s office.
Democrats already hold the House, 103 to 100, and they say they’re confident they’ll grow that majority. The only thing in Harrisburg they don’t control is the State Senate.
The State Senate is the last line of defense. And the anti-gun Left needs just two seats to take control of it.
Republicans hold 27 Senate seats to the Democrats’ 23.

That’s how close we are to losing the one chamber standing between gun owners and universal gun registration, Red Flag Gun Confiscation and the “assault weapons” ban.
I’m not guessing about those bills. Universal gun registration, HB 1593, already passed the House 104 to 99 and has sat in Senate Judiciary since October 2025 because Democrats don’t run the Senate. Give them the Senate, and they’ll bring it right back in 2027.

Your gift goes straight into PFA’s Senate firewall fight: getting the voting records of these politicians in front of gun owners in the districts that decide the Senate, turning out the gun vote before November 3rd, and building the war chest we’ll need on the morning of November 4th, no matter what happens.
Shapiro has the money. What he doesn’t have is the gun vote. Let’s keep it that way.

P.S. Josh Shapiro asked his party for total control, and he’s spending millions to get it. Two more seats tie the Senate, and the Democrat Lt. Governor breaks the tie to hand them control: the leadership, the committee chairmen and the calendar. Please give $35 right now, or $25 if that’s what you can do, to help hold the Senate.
