I’ll let you in on a dirty little secret, FIRST.
When it comes to Constitutional Carry in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, the buck stops with House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-Bellefonte).
Benninghoff has supreme power in the House Republican Caucus when it comes to what bills do or do not get voted on by the full House and so far, he has used his authority to block, stop, and halt the bill from House floor action.
Despite the bill passing out of the Judiciary Committee under the leadership of Chairman Rob Kauffman with blazing speed, and despite the bill having a whopping 80 co-sponsors – including four Democrats!!
Here’s what all this means for Constitutional Carry:
➜ Aaron Bernstine’s HB659 won’t be brought up for a vote until Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff personally OK’s its advance.
➜ Benninghoff, as Chairman of the House Rules Committee, controls what bills get put on the Session agenda, meaning he controls what bills the whole House votes on each session.
The fact is, having a roll call vote on Constitutional Carry or SAPA law in the Pennsylvania House is much more difficult when the Majority Leader and Chairman of the Rules Committee is blocking the bill from coming up for a vote.
But we don’t believe that Republicans like Benninghoff, that gun owners elected and seated in Harrisburg, should be using their power to block pro-gun bills. They should be using their power to block gun-control bills!
What about you? Do you believe that Pennsylvania should join the twenty-one other states that already have Constitutional Carry?
Do you believe that gun owners DESERVE Republican caucuses that actually FIGHT BACK against the radical Left?
And do you believe that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania should get out of the “rights-regulation” business and finally codify our RIGHT to Keep and Bear Arms without begging a tyrannical government for permission?
We sure as heck do.
Remember, all we are doing here is fighting for the ability to carry concealed the same firearm that we can already legally purchase and own and carry OPENLY in Pennsylvania!
And all we are doing is codifying that government, which is increasingly becoming more and more powerful every day, cannot mandate hoops for us to jump through or what paperwork we must tote around before they “grant us permission” to do what we are free to do by being born Americans!
News Flash: the Second Amendment was written as a limitation on GOVERNMENT, not citizens!
Another News Flash: The Second Amendment does not mention licenses or fees or paperwork as a condition of exercising our rights!
To you and me, this is common sense. But to the politicians, it’s like pulling teeth.
And we aren’t going to be successful unless they politically fear us at election time.

We need every patriotic, freedom-loving Pennsylvanian in this fight, because if we can generate enough pressure, I KNOW we will be successful!
