The Utah legislature passed it. Texas’ legislature passed it. Iowa’s General Assembly passed it. Tennessee, Louisiana and Montana’s legislatures passed it, too.
This year alone, five states have codified Constitutional Carry, restoring their citizens’ right to carry a firearm for self-defense without begging government permission or adding their names to a government database!
In total, 21 states have now passed Constitutional Carry law!
And with thirty Republican-controlled state legislatures across America, it’s clear that the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of Republican legislatures have made passing Constitutional Carry a top priority — especially this year.
What about here in Pennsylvania?
What have Pennsylvania’s House and Senate Republican leadership done to keep their campaign promise and fight for gun owners, who have consistently delivered “pro-gun” majorities? You know the answer: not much of anything.
The good news is, with violent crime soaring to levels we haven’t seen in decades last summer – and mobs so out-of-control that even Governor Tom Wolf was forced to call out the National Guard to restore law and order – Republicans might be catching on that gun owners are DEMANDING this badly needed legislation.
In fact, the Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Lisa Baker, reported Sen. Chris Dush’s Constitutional Carry bill (SB565) out of committee and sent it to the full Senate where it is ready for a full floor vote for passage!
You see, Constitutional Carry is an easy concept.
It simply states that if you are legally allowed to own a firearm, you can legally carry that firearm for self-defense without having to pay a fee for that right –- and without having to be tracked, traced, and registered like a sex offender!
Of course, the fake-news media and anti-gun politicians in Harrisburg have been lying about what this bill would do for years, convincing legislative leaders to kill it year after year.
No, Constitutional Carry does not mean that criminals can own firearms. Stopping violent criminals from harming our loved ones is why we carry firearms in the first place.
And no, passing Constitutional Carry does not mean that the current ‘Shall Issue’ system would be eliminated. Nothing about the current law would change, except that it would be optional!
Nor would passage of Constitutional Carry lead to a spike in violent crime.
On the contrary, every single state that passed this legislation over the last ten years saw their murder rates decline almost immediately!
But this fight isn’t about policy, anymore.
Everyone knows the truth about Constitutional Carry and why we need it here in Pennsylvania. That’s settled. The only question left now is whether or not Republicans will keep their campaign promises and FIGHT BACK against the radical left’s gun-control agenda by passing Constitutional Carry!
Of course, the legislative leadership is busy trying to tell Pennsylvania Firearms Association’s members and supporters that ‘we don’t need to do the jobs we were elected to do and pass Constitutional Carry because Governor Wolf won’t sign it.’
But that’s a joke.
The reality is that gun owners know we are in a culture war against the Marxist Left, and we elect Republican Majorities in Harrisburg to be our fighters against the Left’s agenda!
When Republicans sit back and do nothing with the power We the People transfer to them during elections, it is a sign of total and complete disrespect for the voters that elected them.
And anyone who tells gun owners otherwise is trying to divert political pressure away from themselves.
Take Missouri as an example.
In Missouri in 2016, Republican moderates whined that they did not want to pass Constitutional Carry because Democrat-Governor Jay Nixon would likely veto the bill.
Gun owners mobilized by the tens of thousands and forced the Republican Legislature to pass it anyway, and Governor Nixon vetoed the bill.
But by doing so, Nixon made gun rights a statewide issue in the elections, and the Republican gubernatorial candidate was able to ride that vote all the way into the governor’s mansion.
Today, Missouri dang well has Constitutional Carry!
Pennsylvania can do the same thing. But right now, Republican leadership is more concerned about what the Philadelphia Enquirer and the rest of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA here in the Keystone state think about them than they are about fighting for the people who elected them and the 2nd Amendment!
Gun owners in Missouri went even further this year and passed the Second Amendment Preservation Act because they WENT TO WAR with Republican Senate leaders who were blocking the bill.
Grassroots gun owners in Iowa passed Constitutional Carry in May after a multi-year KNOCK-DOWN, DRAG-OUT FIGHT with the Republican House Majority Leader who had been locking the bill down for several years!
Ohio gun owners FORCED Republican sell-out Governor Mike DeWine to sign Stand-Your-Ground law this year (while he was actively trying to pass Red Flag Gun Confiscation) by hammering him with hundreds of thousands of calls, emails, and petitions!
Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, a lifelong enemy to Constitutional Carry, was FORCED TO PLAY BALL this year and advanced the bill through the Senate as it became clear that gun owners would NEVER give him a shot at being Governor if he killed it again.
So gun owners here in Pennsylvania have a decision to make.
Are we going to sit back and give the Republicans in Harrisburg a pass because they are Republicans?
Or are we going to demand that they keep their campaign promises and pass Constitutional Carry like twenty-one other states have done?
To me, the choice is clear.
We need to INCREASE the pressure in Harrisburg on the Senate Republicans and remind the politicians that they work for us and that, like any employer, we expect them to do their job — or we’ll find someone who will.
If you agree, please send your pre-written email now!
But when you do, I hope you’ll include a generous donation to help Pennsylvania Firearms Association go to war in Harrisburg for Constitutional Carry!
Pennsylvania Firearms Association is launching a massive digital ad and email campaign — all augmented by our un-censorable direct mail program — to put MAXIMUM PRESSURE on the Republican leadership in Harrisburg.
Every dollar you can give will help us crank up the heat when the time comes, forcing the politicians in Harrisburg to get serious about Constitutional Carry — so I hope you’ll be generous.
Of course, if $100 is just too much, please agree to $50 or at least $25, or whatever you can do.
Lawmakers here in Pennsylvania love to tell us how pro-gun they are when they are running for office; it’s time to make them prove it!
For Freedom,
Chris Dorr

P.S. Five Republican Legislatures fought for gun owners in their states this year and passed Constitutional Carry, meaning that gun owners in a stunning twenty-one states can carry a firearm without begging permission or adding their name to a government database!
Meanwhile, Republicans in Pennsylvania haven’t lifted a finger for gun owners in years and have buckled to the Fake News Media and gun-control organizations.
